Hey guys! Graduation day is tomorrow! Today is the last day of finals!!!! Summer is finally here! I cannot express how much I have enjoyed my time here at Northeast. We had our last Presidential Host meeting last Monday, and I cried!! I told my husband I was so sad and excited at the same time! I am so thrilled to be moving on to JSU but so sad to be leaving all of my friends and teachers at NACC! I made better friends at Northeast than I did all throughout high school. The school is filled with extraordinary teachers, faculty members, and students. I will never forget all of my time here at Northeast and what it has meant to me. God has a plan for everyones life, and I am so happy that He chose to place me at Northeast. I have so many memories to take with me, and I hope you do too. I pray that God will bless you all in your future endeavors. If you (and me included) always keep God first in our lives, He will always lead us where we are supposed to go. I pray that we all keep Him first, and learn from our mistakes. May God bless you all!
Hey guys! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in a while! I have been crazy busy as I am sure most of you have been! I hope you are all doing well and ready to graduate or move on to next semester! Don’t forget to sell your books back to the bookstore in the next few weeks! Good luck on all of your finals! I will talk to you next week!
Hi everyone! I hope that you have had a great week here at Northeast. If you are like me I wish the weather would stay the same! It seems that one day it is seventy degrees outside and the next the weathermen are talking about snow! I want to be able to complain about how hot it is!! I say that because as soon as it gets warm I will be complaining it is to warm and want it to be cooler. But I guess that is humans for you, we are never satisfied! I hope you are all doing well in your classes, I hope that I am too! Have a great weekend!!
Hey guys! I hope you have had an awesome week here at NACC as usual! I cannot believe February is almost over!! This semester is flying by! It will be over before we know it! I hope you are all doing well in your classes. I also hope everyone made it through the storms last night okay! We had some minor damage but nothing like some others had. I am a firm believer that there is a reason for everything, we may not understand now or while we are on this earth but one day we will. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will talk to you next week!
Hey guys! I hope everyone had a good “snow holiday” this week and stayed safe and warm! Did anyone run out of milk? We did! But we had plenty of other things. Thankfully this time my husband did not have to spend the night in a hotel because he couldn’t get home from work! He stayed home this time! I hope you all were safe inside your homes and warm! I know a lot of people lost power, I hope that it has returned and people’s homes are again warm and toasty! It’s kind of odd to celebrate Valentines Day when there is snow on the ground and ice on the pavement! I do not ever remember a Valentines Day when it snowed! But there is a reason for it, as there is for everything that happens! If you do not have a per say “valentine” today I want to let you know that God will always be your “valentine” along with your best friend, savior, hope, comfort, courage and anything else you need! I used to say that “God was writing my story” to which my husband once replied (I was in like 9th grade) “Whats in the next chapter?” I know, sweet right? On all those Valentines Days when I didn’t have a boyfriend I wish I could go back and remind myself that God was my Valentine! If I could I would in a heartbeat. God is the only person who looks at our hearts, sees all the ugly, black sin in it, and loves us all the more!! So if you’re down and sad today, let me remind you that God is always there for you and He will happily be your “valentine” today, tomorrow, and for the rest of your life! Happy Valentines Day! Remember, God loves you more than anyone possibly could imagine!
Hey guys! As usual I hope you have had a fantastic week here at Northeast. Hopefully everyone is finally starting to settle in to their classes and figure out what exactly the teacher will be looking for etc. And how about the lovely blizzard that we had! Yikes! Did anyone else run out of milk like I did? And I LOVE milk so that was so hard for me. But that is not a big deal at all compared to all of those who were stranded. My husband being one of them! It took him five hours to get from Jacksonville to Gadston. He barely found a hotel to stay at, he said the roads were a solid sheet of ice! Two transfers had wrecked up ahead of him and by the time they got that transfer cleared up, another one had wrecked! I was worried sick about him! When he went to work yesterday morning he said the roads were still horrible! Now is really a time for everyone to count their blessings. I know people that had to sleep in their cars! Matthew was afraid he was going to have to. Luckily our car had plenty of gas in it but there were many people who ran out of gas and could not keep their cars cranked! And now I am hearing that it is supposed to be worse next week! We don’t know what to do about this weather here in the south! I mean literally in December we had to run our air because our house got so hot we couldn’t stand it! My college classes are now behind because we missed a day and that stresses me out so much! I like to have a tight schedule with no changes! But that’s not reality, life is full of changes and surprises! You would think I would know that by now. Until next time, please everyone try to stay warm and safe! God bless and be with you all!
Hi everyone! I hope you have all had a great week here at Northeast, and are staying warm! I believe I can speak for the entire student body in saying “IT IS FREEZING!!!” I seriously do not ever remember a time when it was this cold (besides a few weeks ago when it WAS this cold). My face was literally hurting when I walked into the English building this morning! I am ready for spring! Of course I say that and then when spring gets here we will all be complaining that it is to hot and wish it to be fall and then the vicious cycle of nature starts all over again! Is’t it amazing though the way the seasons work? God certainly knows what He is doing! The Bible says He watches over the birds of the air how much more will He watch over me? (I’m paraphrasing of course) Sometimes I just need that realization moment that “God’s got this!” Look at how He cares for all of the wild animals! I try to thank Him every day for all He has done for me, even though I fail Him daily. Everything happens for a reason! No matter how much we dislike it there is a reason for it being this cold! :) I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and bundle up and leave your faucets running and night that way your pipes do not freeze! Talk to you all next week!
Hi all! I hope you have had another fabulous week here at Northeast! I hope everyone is settled into their classes nicely and are finally getting the hang of things for this semester. The changes from one semester to another are sometimes unreal! Sometimes it takes me until the end of a semester to figure things out, and by then its time to start all over again! Thats the way all of life is though! Change change change! Our lives here on earth are constantly changing; from the way we do our hair to where we live! Life is a constant change. Now that can be good or bad, depending on the circumstance. For instance, in my personal opinion, college life as a married woman is completely different from the way it was before I got married. I not only now have to focus on my studies, but on paying bills, cooking supper for my husband, keeping my house clean (incase the in-laws visit) and many other things! Now that is much more difficult than just going to school, coming home, doing homework, and going back to school. But it’s a great change! I love being married and spending time with my husband! But now, not all changes in life are pleasant, like becoming married. Losing loved ones for instance, is a change that we all will experience, but it is one of the worst changes of all. I’m going to try my best this semester to look at the change of pace with my classes and the change of teachers as a positive change, in order to further my career here at Northeast. God has a reason for every change in our lives that He makes. Now, I am not one to tell you that I understand every change that He makes, because I absolutely do not! But who does, other than Him? We’re not meant to. That is why we are human and He is God. Let’s all remember that this weekend and .throughout next week, that every change we come in contact with in our lives is part of God’s divine plan for us. Even a change as small as the difference in our classes from semester to semester.
Hi guys! A new semester has begun! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and spent some well needed time with your families. I know I did! I am so excited but yet sad for this semester to begin, it is my last one here at Northeast! I am so sad to be leaving this amazing campus but excited to see what my future holds for me at a four year university. I am going to miss it so much here; the faculty, the students, everyone! I have made a pledge to myself to keep organized and keep my classes straight and not fall behind this semester. I am taking three English classes and another class so I am afraid it is going to be difficult! But lets keep our heads up, and as Walt Disney said “keep moving forward!” I hope you all have had a great first week at class. Don’t forget to do homework over the weekend! Sometimes I have trouble remembering that. You know, our whole lives we need to keep that motto in our heads, “keep moving forward”. NO matter what life throws at us, no matter how hard it gets, we have to keep moving forward. Remember that things of this life are just for a little while, what happens after, now thats the important stuff. Please keep that in mind this first few weeks of school! Talk to you all next week!
Finals Week is finally here! My eyes hurt from staring at my computer screen typing out vocabulary words! I hope everyone is preparing for their finals well! I am ready for them to be over with and I’m sure you all are as well. Good luck, I hope everyone does well! I pray that God blesses you all!!
